HIV Negative is not a group of individuals. It is an idea, organized and substantiated. It is a movement, a force, like the dynamo, that will be an impetus for our postpostmodern civilization. A force equal to that which created the pyramids in ancient Egypt and Mesoamerica, or that by which the Romans conquered and ruled the known world. It is the force of revolution. An anti-bourgeoisie, proletariate insurrection. This movement, unlike conglomerations of individuals, will be immortal; it will continue to exist after its individual contributers have left.
II. Mission
The goal of HIV Negative is not to create catchy tunes, woo women nor impress acquiantances. Its purpose is to make manifest the indomitable spirit of man.
III. Theory
As declared, HIV Negative is not a group of individuals and as such does not depend on the musical talent of any of the individuals associated with the movement. In fact, any mention of talent or musical ability is a sign of the failure of HIV Negative. HIV Negative believes that to achieve its objective, at each show it must create an ambient energy such that the audience is overwhelmed, and absorbed, becoming a part of the movement itself. It would be impossible to create such an environment when the performers themselves are restricted by established forms and traditions, nevertheless traditions can and in fact will play a part.
